OUR VOLUNTEERS ARE THE HEART OF VRA RESCUE NSW. THEY ARE EVERYDAY PEOPLE FROM ALL WALKS OF LIFE; TRADIES, PROFESSIONALS, BUSINESS OWNERS, PARENTS, STUDENTS AND RETIREES WHO SHARE ONE THING IN COMMON: A COMMITMENT TO HELPING OTHERS.
They train, prepare and respond alongside emergency service partners to provide vital support when communities need it most. From road crash rescues and emergency assistance to community safety initiatives and operational support, every volunteer plays an important role in protecting and supporting others.
You don’t need to be a superhero to make a difference. You just need the willingness to learn, the courage to step up and the desire to help.

Whether you’re looking for hands-on emergency response or a way to support behind the scenes, there’s a role to suit your interests and strengths. Operational volunteers can train in areas such as general land rescue and road crash rescue, while non-operational volunteers contribute through roles including squad support, administration, logistics and fundraising.
You’ll receive ongoing training, build confidence and work alongside people who share your commitment to serving the community.
