Road Crash Rescue
When seconds count, our highly trained volunteers are there to respond to serious road crash incidents, using specialised equipment and advanced rescue techniques to safely access and extricate people trapped in vehicles. Working with precision, skill and care, our teams provide critical support in some of the most challenging and time-sensitive situations.

Water Rescue
From flooded communities to water-related emergencies, VRA Rescue NSW provides specialist support when people are at risk.

Cave and Vertical Rescue
VRA Rescue NSW specialises in rescue operations across some of the most complex and challenging environments.
Our highly trained volunteers are equipped to respond to cave and vertical rescue incidents, using specialist skills, technical equipment and teamwork to safely access and assist people in high-risk situations.
Whether deep underground, on steep terrain or in difficult-to-reach locations, our teams bring determination, expertise and a commitment to bringing people home safely.
Search And Rescue
When someone is missing, every second matters.
VRA Rescue NSW volunteers are trained to respond quickly and effectively, using specialist search techniques, equipment and local knowledge to locate and assist people across a range of environments.
Our Search and Rescue teams, including specialist SAR Dog (Search and Rescue), Mounted Search and Rescue, RPAS (Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems) drone capability, Ski Patrol, Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) teams and WICEN (Communications) support operations across urban, land, water, alpine and remote environments.
Using advanced search methods, highly trained dogs, aerial technology, technical rescue skills and local expertise, we help locate missing persons and respond to complex rescue situations, whether someone is lost, injured or deceased.
From collapsed structures and urban environments to remote bushland, rugged terrain and alpine conditions, our volunteers work alongside partner agencies to provide critical support. Combining experience, technology and determination, we bring specialist capability and hope to communities when they need us most.
Industrial and Domestic Rescue
VRA Rescue NSW volunteers are trained and equipped to respond to complex rescue situations across workplaces, residential environments and community settings. Using specialist techniques, equipment and problem-solving skills, our teams provide a coordinated response in situations where access is difficult, conditions are hazardous or technical expertise is required.
Our Industrial and Domestic Rescue capability supports incidents involving machinery, confined spaces, structural hazards and other complex rescue scenarios.
