Fleet

Our specialist fleet gives trained volunteers the vehicles, boats and equipment needed to respond to some of the most challenging emergencies across NSW.

Our fleet supports Heavy Vehicle and Road Crash Rescue, providing specialist equipment to safely stabilise vehicles and extricate people trapped following serious crashes involving cars, trucks and buses.

Our Land Search and Rescue capability allows volunteers to rapidly deploy into rural, remote and difficult terrain to search for missing or vulnerable people and support their families and communities.

During floods, our Flood and Swiftwater Rescue capability, including specialist rescue boats, enables crews to reach isolated communities, assist with evacuations and conduct search and rescue operations where roads and conventional vehicles can no longer provide access.

From major highways and rural roads to remote bushland and flood-affected communities, VRA Rescue NSW volunteers provide specialist rescue capability when it matters most.

Every vehicle, boat and piece of equipment has one purpose — to help our volunteers reach people in danger, support our communities and bring people home safely.
