I first heard about VRA Rescue NSW through my employment with NSWA. I joined because I wanted to help in my community. My two sons were former members.
I have been given the opportunity to travel across NSW in my roles within VRA and I have met the most amazing volunteers. My favourite story is going to Manilla to deliver first aid. It was required for Manilla to come back online for rescue. I dragged my caravan, went sight-seeing and got looked after like royalty. I was thrilled to know I helped that community have a necessary service to assist on their darkest days.
