VRA Rescue NSW has achieved an outstanding set of results at the 2026 Australasian Water Rescue Challenge (AWRC) and Australasian Rescue Boat Challenge (ARBC), with members demonstrating strong leadership, operational capability, teamwork and an ongoing commitment to safety.
The challenges brought together rescue professionals from across Australasia to test their skills in realistic water rescue and rescue boat scenarios. The events also provided valuable opportunities to strengthen teamwork, share knowledge and further develop operational skills.

In addition, a VRA Rescue NSW member was selected as part of AWRC Multiagency Team 2, which achieved:

These achievements reflect the dedication, professionalism and expertise of our volunteers, who continually train and develop their skills to provide high-quality rescue services to their communities.
